New Patient Evaluation & Initial Acupuncture

1 hour 45 minutes

During a new patient evaluation, the acupuncturist will typically start by reviewing the patient's medical history and asking about their current symptoms. They may also ask about lifestyle factors such as diet, exercise, and stress levels. The acupuncturist may then perform a physical exam, which could involve checking the patient's pulse, looking at their tongue, and palpating certain areas of the body. Based on this information, the acupuncturist will develop a treatment plan that may include acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary changes, and lifestyle recommendations. The acupuncturist will explain the treatment plan to the patient and answer any questions they may have.
