During a nutritional consultation, the acupuncturist will review the patient's medical history and presenting symptoms. The acupuncturist will ask about the patient's goals and symptoms they are experiencing. Based on this information, the acupuncturist will develop a personalized therapeutic nutrition plan that may include dietary changes, supplements, and herbal formulations. The acupuncturist will explain the plan to the patient and answer any questions they may have. The patient may be asked to keep a food diary or track their progress in some other way. Follow-up appointments may be scheduled to monitor progress and adjust the plan as needed. The goal of a nutritional consultation is to help the patient improve their presenting condition and achieve optimal health through dietary changes.
